After a very busy, and spectacular summer both for weather and fishing, we now go straight into fishing for winter Chinook, or “Spring” Salmon. These winter “Springs” are scrappy, chorme bright fish which feed in our local waters all winter providing us with great Chinook salmon fishing all year round. Sometimes called “feeders” winter chinook are generally between 8 - 12 pounds, and many consider them the best eating fish of the year due to their high fat content. Although our Fall weather this year still feels like Summer and is still breaking temperature records, fishing for Winter Springs is already quite good! Its the best of both worlds at the moment - fishing for Winter Chinook in Summer like weather! Let’s go fishing!
